- Plywood-This light and strong board is more or less thin sheets stuck together with the grain at 90 degrees to each other, this is also a popular board for many.
- Chipboard-This board is basically chips of wood compressed together. Chipboard shouldn't be burnt, since the resin used in it's manufacture can be dangerous, or get wet, since it will swell up and distort. Clipboard is good for the enviroment, due to it being manufactured from recycled wood chips.
- Stirling board-This board is cheap yet weak, usually used to board up window frames.
- MDF-Available in different thicknesses
